Ficus Shivereana is one of the most striking ficus varieties. It’s leaves are a creamy lime color with sections and flecs of dark green variegation. They grow tall and straight up like a tree, but can be trained to branch out by cutting off the top.
Renowned for its diversity in appearance, as well as its sap that’s used to make rubber, a Ficus can be found in almost any houseplant enthusiasts home. Also known as rubber plants, Ficus come in many colors as well as sizes. The more popular and comon grow tall and large, but other more rare varieties have small leaves. To ensure optimal health, it is advisable to allow the soil to partially dry between waterings, striking a delicate balance that prevents root rot while maintaining slight moisture. Bright indirect light is the perfect companion for these versatile plants, which showcase exceptional adaptability to varying levels of humidity.
